Our kids saw some cool sleds at the store at Christmas time that they really wanted. They kind of looked like a snowmobile but was a sled instead. The only problem was only one person could ride it at a time and they cost $80. Each of our kids wanted one of course. So Ron decided to make some for the kids. He went to the D.I. and bought three sets of ski's, and two big wheels. He and the kids came home and got to work building their new toys and came up with these. They are a lot of fun and the kids had a blast with them. They came out just a little bit bigger than the ones we saw at the store. The only problem the kids had with them was they are really heavy so they were literally sweating trying to climb up the hill with them. (That was a first. No one asked for hot cocoa afterwards. They were all too hot!) But Ron said he intended them to be pulled behind the truck with them more than downhill. They go so fast because they are ski's and if you hit someone they would really get hurt. So when we took them downhill we made sure we went somewhere remote so it would just be us there. The only problem I have is where the heck are we supposed to store these babies! They take up so much room! (has anyone seen my garage? Not an option!)
Malinda I seriously love your blog! How the heck do you do such cute headers? I know you are super creative I just can't figure it out. Hey next time you are in Salt Lake give us a ring, we would love to see you guys!!!
Fun! You know what's crazy? I'm sure your kids had at LEAST as much fun making these as they did using the finished product. What a great memory for them - oh, and no one ended up bald from the experience! Why weren't you at my party?
Hi Malinda! It has been fun catching up with you on your blog. It looks like you are all doing well. It seems like you are in Utah quite a bit- hopefully we can meet up sometime. Did you get our Christmas card? We are slow pokes. Take care!
Hi Brooke! I'm so happy to hear from you. We have sent you a Christmas card every year but have never heard back from you. We never got your card! I was beginning to wonder if you moved. We would love to see you guys again! My email is rmanderton@msn.com
