Christmas 2009

I know it has been awhile since I have last blogged so I thought I'd better post our Christmas pictures before Valentines Day gets here and I'm way outdated. So anyway, this is a picture of Ron's extended family Christmas Party. It is his mom's side of the family and she is the oldest of seven children. I'm not even going to attempt to guess how many have multiplied from this group but trust me when I say,"It's a lot!"After a big dinner, Santa always attends the Stokes Family Christmas Party. The kids look forward to this every year. He always brings each one of the kids a present.
They have great fun playing with their gifts with their cousins. It was a great party!
This is my family Christmas Party with just my immediate family. The Allmon Family Christmas Party always has the "Nativity Scene". I'm not sure the older kids enjoy this as much as they used to when they where little, but it's tradition so it must go on. Plus it is very entertaining for us adults to watch. After Dinner and the Nativity we exchange homemade or inexpensive gifts. It was a lot of fun too. We are so thankful for both of our families and enjoyed our time with them this Holiday Season.
Christmas morning at our house is a lot of fun. The kids woke up at 6am this year.
Tyler got this Wi Fi shirt that really lights up its signal strength when it detects a connection. He has great fun wearing it to school. He also got this Levitation Wand that makes him feel like Harry Potter!
Jordan got this desert turtle he named Crush. He was so excited because he has wanted a pet FOREVER but we could never agree upon one we could all live with. (Ron & I being non animal lovers and Jordan being an animal lover to the extreme) So far this has been working out nicely for all of us.
Austin said this Flash Sweatshirt I gave him is his favorite. It must be, he pretty much wears it everyday. He has asked for one for a while since Flash is his favorite Super Hero. But Flash is not a popular superhero therefore it is really hard to find anything of his. So I just sewed some fleece onto one of Tyler's old sweatshirts that was too small for him. Who new something so simple he would love so much!
Courtney really wanted an American Girl Doll with this outfit she saw in their catalog. Well that wasn't in the budget this year so she got this doll instead (which she can't tell the difference anyway) and I copied this outfit the best I could from looking at the picture in the American Girl Catalog.
One of her favorite things about the catalog is that there are matching outfits for the girls and their dolls. So I also made her and her doll these outfits. I remember my mom making me a homemade Cabbage Patch doll with matching dresses. I loved dressing like my doll. Courtney loves it too and I am so happy that she does!
We all had a Wonderful Christmas and hope all of you did too!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

You are ahead of me on Christmas pictures! It is SO funny because we have the same nativity tradition with my family - AND Anna got the same doll as Courtney - although Anna's mom didn't (and doesn't know how) to make outfits. You are so completely amazing!
