Thanksgiving & The Polar Express

Grandpa and Grandma Anderton gave all their grandkids an early Christmas present this year. First, they reserved a Theater room in Park City where we all met and they handed out matching PJ's to all the kids. Then we snuggled up on comfy couches and blankets & pillows to watch the movie "The Polar Express". This is Grandma & Grandpa with ALL 21 of their grandkids. Almost impossible to get a perfect picture of that group! Tyler is the oldest kid in this bunch.
After the movie we headed over to Pizza Hut in Heber City, PJ's and all, to have lunch. Sorry, no pics of that because I wasn't feeling too hot at this point, but Ron did take some video. We had the whole party room to ourselves and the kids loved it!
Next it was time to finally ride on "The Polar Express".
"Tickets, Please!"
"All Aboard!"
The elves wrote down each child's name and asked them what they wanted for Christmas.
Fourteen adults and twenty-one kids. We took up a big chunk of that train car. All but the last two rows here are our group.

Hot chocolate! ....and chocolate chip cookies were served.
Then Santa and Mrs. Claus paid every child a visit. Santa gave everyone a bell and Mrs. Claus gave out Santa's favorite recipe for chocolate chip cookies (hint hint) which included elf giggles as an ingredient. Something you could only get on the Polar Express.
We all had a wonderful time on the Polar Express. Thank you Grandpa and Grandma for such a great day! The next day was Thanksgiving. Our family is growing so big, and still growing, that we can no longer fit at any ones house anymore. So the last couple of years we have been having Thanksgiving dinner at the church.
Sorry, no pics of the actual dinner. I was too busy eating like everyone else. But here is some of the clean up.
Afterwards the guys enjoyed a game of Football out on the lawn.
The little kids entertained those of us inside with a fun rendition of Taylor Swifts, "You belong with me" It was pretty cute. Everyone had a great time. Courtney's already asking me when we are going to do that again!

What a fun gift from Ron's parents. I bet the kids loved it. That is something they'll remember.

That was a great idea. How fun. Did your inlaws move to Heber? I thought they were Blackfootians or something. Anyway - thanks for returning all of my calls meanie head.
