Happy Birthday Tyler!

Tyler turned 12 on May 21st. I have been slow on my blogging but still wanted to wish him a Happy Birthday. Things I love about Tyler:
  • He is so smart and truly loves to learn. He has an amazing memory and can always recall with exact detail things that he has learned. I wish I could do that. He has always loved school and has been nearly a straight A student since kindergarten!
  • He has a strong desire to do what is right. He loves to listen to the radio but anytime he hears a song come on that doesn't have good lyrics, he always turns it off. That has always impressed me when I see him do that. No one has ever told him to. He just knows it's not a good thing for him to be listening to.
  • I rarely have to ask him to do things more than once. He is my child that always comes the first time I call and he does what I ask of him with no complaints.
  • Everything he tries, he seems to do so well at. I think it is because he always puts all his best effort into everything. I know I can trust him to complete a task and that it will be done well because he takes pride in his work and he isn't satisfied if he didn't do his best.
  • He's the best big brother anyone could ask for. What an awesome example he is for his younger brothers and sister who look so up to him. He is also the best babysitter I have ever had. He is responsible and takes his job seriously.

I LOVE YOU TYLER!!!

He had a late night party and had three friends over(I forgot to take a picture with his other friend before he had to leave early) They had a real good time. They took blankets and pillows and the lap top out to the clubhouse and watched "Mall Cop" and ate pizza. Then they played a few night games. They all got flashlights and had to find candy bars that were hidden in the backyard. They also played kick the can and Mafia. It was a really fun party.
Tyler is getting ready to go on the 50 miler with the scouts next month. So he got a lot of good stuff to get him ready for his big hike.
