Tyler Takes State!

I know you must all be tired of hearing me brag about my son, but it's my blog, so I have the right, don't I? It's just that this child of mine never ceases to amaze me! We went to Boise this weekend and Tyler's invention took second place!!! I couldn't believe it! All the inventions there were so good. We were all just so happy he made it this far. I really didn't think he would have that good of a chance of placing at State just because there were so many entries. But he did awesome, as usual. We are just so proud of Tyler. I seriously don't know where he gets all his brains and talent. He's such a great kid!
One of Courtney's and Austin's favorite things at the Discovery Center was this giant bubble maker. They loved it! This is Tyler's new second place ribbon. He is still wearing it every chance he gets. He says it is so much nicer than the last one because it's red and white and it has three tails instead of just two. He had it pinned on his PJ's tonight when I tucked him in. I had to pretty much pull it off of him. Yeah, he's attached to it! This is us after the awards ceremony. A stranger came up to me and asked if she could take a picture of us with my camera, because she thought it was so funny that my two kids were sound asleep through the whole thing. I on the other hand, saw nothing unusual about this. She apparently didn't think Jordan was with us since she cut him out of the picture.
Anyway, we all had a great trip to Boise. It was so much fun!

You have every right to brag. What great kids you have. My son keeps talking about how Jordan is in all of th school assemblies and how cool that is.

CONGRATS!! He is almost as smart as I am - oh - or whatever. You are a great mom - way to encourage your children in their strengths!

Malinda, that is so cool. It is scary how smart kids can be with good parents to help encourage them! Isn't it amazing that there are still so many original ideas out there! Hopefully this is something he will enjoy for years to come!
