This is a clear picture because he was finally holding still for water break.
Austin made a sweet shot this game. I love it when he makes a basket. He looks so happy and always looks out in the audience for us to see if we were watching.
This week we had two extra kids for a night. Ron's sister and her husband celebrated their wedding anniversary so we got to watch their two little boys, Will and Oscar. We had so much fun with them. I loved watching my kids with them. They took such good care of them and loved playing with them. Austin has been asking for a little brother for a couple weeks now. I don't know where that came from but this little visit from his cousins helped satisfy that craving for awhile. He really loved playing with Oscar who is two.
This is Will. He thought it was fun to dress up and scare his little brother.
Courtney and her cousins had so much fun jumping off her bed onto the trundle bed that they slept on. It was really fun to watch Oscar because he would laugh each time he jumped.
Dinner time! These boys are secure enough in their manhood to play kitchen in the pink room. Courtney was in heaven. Her brothers are too tough for kitchen play anymore.
Courtney and Will made all kinds of food to eat and would take turns saying the prayer each time they ate something new. Oscar just dug in, blessed or not. It was so cute.
"Some tea, Mrs. Nezbit?"
We also had the Junior high Championship Swim Meet this week. There were six schools competing. Man, was that place PACKED! That was the most uncomfortable 4hours of my life!(not really, but close) Imagine sitting on bleachers for 4hours where someone is in front, behind, and on each side of you shoulder to shoulder. We were like sardines! You couldn't even put your legs in front of you, you had to sit sideways so your knees wouldn't stab into the persons back in front of you. Don't even think about getting up to go to the bathroom! It was pretty much impossible! That was a mistake drinking a Diet Coke to wake me up before we left. Tyler would come up to the bleachers every so often to get a snack from us out of our backpack. Of course he couldn't reach us so we would just throw a granola bar at him and hope he could catch it. The water bottle could have done some serious damage if it hit someone on the way down, so it just got handed to fifty people before it reached Tyler. It was awful. I tell ya, the things we do for our kids sometimes. Oh, did I mention we had to be there at 6:30am on a Saturday! Yeah, I'm glad Swim Team is over for the season.
Tyler, on the other hand, had a great time and that's what counts. I'm just happy to see him really enjoying a physical sport. He has always been interested in the more brain power type activities. This is the first sport he has chosen on his own and hasn't complained about it. He loves it!
This is Tyler in the middle in his starting position for a team relay race.
He did so well this meet. His best one yet! He swam his little booty off! I've never seen him swim so fast!
He took first place for his heat in the Backstroke. It was AWESOME! He got 9th place overall for the whole tournament.
His school, The Sandcreek Dragons, took first place at the meet. They are now this years Champions!
To celebrate they had a party at Leo's Place. All our kids were so excited to go. They love this place and we haven't been there in a long time.
Jordan was having the funnest time running around on the play ground and enjoying the rides. So I hurried and got my camera so I could snap a picture of him in action. But as soon as he saw me he would jump off and run away. I guess he didn't want proof that he was enjoying this "kiddie land". So he tried to make a face of boredom for the camera so his image wouldn't be ruined. He is in the 5th grade now after all.
Sunday we had a little Superbowl Party(along with the rest of the country). It was a lot of fun. What's better than relaxing in your PJ's and eating yummy food!
Now don't think I'm all creative cuz I'm not. I'm just a good copy cat. I took ideas from lots of different blogs and came up with these fun treats. These are just those no-bake cookies that I shaped into footballs and then made the stitches with melted white chocolate chips.
The stitches on these deviled eggs are chives.
This is a cheese ball with cream cheese, mayo, shredded cheddar, chives and pepper. Then topped with crumbled bacon and chives again. It was a lot of fun and a great game. I didn't really care who won but was leaning more for the Saints just cuz their the underdog. Jordan and Ron wanted the Colts to win. It's just fun to watch the Super Bowl with those two. They crack me up. It's quite entertaining. We had a great weekend! Hope all of you guys did too!

I love all the effort you always put into your food!! So cute and creative....even if you copy.
What about the fun time you had with your friends??? Just kidding. We should have come over for Super Bowl - we didn't have nearly that FUN of food. You are a fun Chef Mom/Wife. And congrats to the little fish!
