Happy 4th of July 2011!

We woke up bright and early on the forth and ate breakfast. We had these red & white pancakes.
 Topped with blueberry syrup. Yum!
We ate in the back yard, in our pajamas! It was fun and made for something different and special.
Then we got dressed and met up with some friends and went to the parade.
We got there right when it started and still managed to score some awesome seats! We were even shaded under a big tree to boot!
The parade had already started and no one was sitting in this roped off area, so we took advantage of the saved space and no one ever came and said anything to us. Lucky again!

It was a nice parade but we sure missed watching the BMX riders perform their tricks! That has been the best part in years past, but this year the city wouldn't let them do it. They said it took up too much time and stalled the parade. Boo! That's what we are there for! To be entertained! Not to just have the parade fly by! So sad :(
After the parade we came home and had a BBQ in the back yard with our friends, the Farnsworth's.

Tyler never lets me take his picture anymore. Sheesh!
That night we went down to the river to watch the fireworks over the falls. We weren't so lucky this time. We had a horrible view! There was a huge tree in our way. We didn't know it would be directly in our view until the fireworks started. Then it was too dark and too late to do anything about it. Oh well, we still had a good time.

I love the fourth of July! It has always been one of my favorite holidays. I am so thankful for this beautiful country we are so privileged to live in. May God always bless the USA!
